FEBRUARY - THE UNRAVELING
For those who enjoy a slower pace .. Reflecting on the month passed.
February for me carried a subtle tension between my drive to push forward with new projects and the pull of the universe to sit, watch and wait. One part of me wanted to charge ahead with fresh goals, while another part, if I’m being honest, felt somewhat stuck, trudging through edits of much older chapters in my life. I wonder—has your month held similar contrasts? Moments of momentum, but also those where it felt harder to move forward? The liminal push and pull of February?
WHAT’S BEEN PULLING ME THROUGH - Surviving or thriving, it's all part of the journey.
To find balance, I dove into some quiet, early nights of escapism through novels. As a family, we also revisited our favourite movies with snackies and mint hot chocolate.
I found that alongside these distractions, there was nothing more soothing in these crazy times than long walks in the icy wind, adding in that gentle sun warming our faces and I believe that the faint whispers of spring’s true arrival can be heard. It made me wonder - What small moments have helped you stay grounded this month? Have you noticed any shifts in your energy, too?
I shared that I found myself pulling back a bit from social media, not entirely sure what or how to share anymore. Maybe you’ve felt that quiet shift as well, where it feels like it’s time to just listen more than shout. No one listens when we start shouting anyway.
As the energy of March begins to creep in, I sense that it’s time to finish off the final threads and ties that no longer serve us. Structures, systems, and beliefs are all up for reconsideration, and while that feels exciting, it’s also a bit nerve-wracking when there isn’t any direction to move forward. I guess it’s time for new structures and ancient pathways combined. A Question we all seem to be asking as we lean into those energies of movement - what are you feeling ready to let go so we can pick up the pace? What feels heavy in our bodies and across the land?
For me, the planets have aligned and I am off to get a new tattoo tonight. Something I’ve been planning in my head for four years now. I haven’t had any ink for fourteen years, so it feels slightly daunting, and what’s even funnier is the feeling in my stomach around commiting something to my skin that’s actually been a part of my soul and my DNA over and over again. And yet the human mind continues to give me those wobbles of doubt about it. No more hiding it says, out into the world we step.
Let us turn towards March…
OFFERINGS FROM THE ALTAR..
To add to this month's pathway, I wanted to share this card that has been appearing on and off for us over the last few days—THE BOAR AND THE PUMPKIN—a card of confidence and self-assurance.
Boars are known for their determination and strength, whereas pumpkin vines stretch across the land as their abundant seeds grow within.
This is a reminder that it is time to stretch ourselves and to remember that confidence deep within. (A message for both you and me, as I am not exempt from this.) We don’t need to charge carelessly into battles, but we are reminded that our skin is thick and we are fierce.
By combining the seeds we have been planting for so long, the confidence of the boar, and the patience to allow our magick to stretch across the land in a much wider sense than we have ever known, I can only come to one conclusion—this is not the time to hide.
Remember, it’s a year nine. Everyone is in their own version of collective decomposition, and that is something deeply personal. What it doesn’t mean is that we can hide away underground. (No matter how much we may want to.)
IT'S GO TIME, AND IT'S FOR REAL THIS TIME...
March is one of my favourite months, and not just because I am an Aries. I love it because of the much-needed new energy it brings. We might think it already began in January but for me, it starts in March.
