The Sacred Reunion: Bridging Mind & Body
April invites us into reunion - A coming back to the body, the mind, and the space where they move together as one.
I’M JUST HERE FOR THE APRIL AUDIO - Gimme, Gimme!
MARCH - THE UNRAVELING
For those who enjoy a slower pace .. Reflecting on the month passed.
March has been a month of shedding. A season of unbecoming- letting go of the layers that no longer fit, the identities that feel too tight, the stories that have run their course.
There is a rawness to this kind of release. It asks us to sit in the in-between-no longer who we were, not yet who we are becoming. And yet, this space is sacred.
It’s where we realize that growth is not about adding more but stripping away.
So if you’ve felt undone, unanchored, or uncertain this month, know that it is part of the process. You are not falling apart- you are making space.
For what? For the new. For the truth. For you, that is waiting on the other side of this transformation.
WHAT’S BEEN PULLING ME THROUGH - Surviving or thriving, it's all part of the journey.
March personally meant a lot of prep work for later in the year, if I’m honest. So, there isn’t much I can share on that front just yet. We did manage a trip to the Gardens of Heligan, where I got to see the Magnolias in full bloom, but otherwise, there isn’t much else to report.
As for April, I’m determined to pull myself back into the garden and get practical. The wall and fence need painting, some plants need repotting, and there are a few things to tidy up. Just the usual for this time of year, nothing overly complicated.
I had been putting it off until the book was in someone else’s hands for editing because, for me, the mundane is where I get my best ideas. I need the simplicity of something to allow space for the next steps to come in. This month, you’ll find me in the garden.
I wonder..do you do the same when you feel stuck or lost for inspiration? Do you throw yourself into housework to let your thoughts or new ideas settle?
If you don’t, maybe you should try it. We all have different rest cycles, but this one always works for me to help me find the pieces of the puzzle I’ve been missing.
Now let us turn towards the month ahead:
OFFERINGS FROM THE ALTAR..
As you probably know, I pull a monthly card spread for myself each month. However this one is for the collective. It came as no surprise that this card was chosen; in fact it confirmed for me this month’s theme for this sacred weaving. So what does it tell us?
The Temperance – Everything in Moderation – Balance – Harmony – Alchemy
Could the Temperance card be reminding us that all things serve a purpose? Nothing should be excluded, forgotten, or left behind. Perhaps the deeper message is to remember that some months things move a little more slowly than others. Neither less powerful, just perfectly as they should be.
This card, in particular, reminds me to acknowledge that I am a mosaic of parts, each asking to be honored. And all the best things happen in the liminal space where two or more things meet.
Finally, it brings to mind a similar message to the Spring Equinox- A time to honor the dark (the real dark, not that fake pretend dark you hear about) and the brilliant white light of possibility within us. I wonder, which parts of you have been rubbing up a little too closely against each other lately?
ARE YOU TRULY HONOURING BOTH THE DARK AND THE LIGHT WITHIN AT THE MOMENT?
HERE IS THE SHORTENED TEXT VERSION IF IT’S MORE YOUR THING..
April is always a busy time, but there is also a pattern I have noticed that may help us move forward.. let’s call it an intuitive nudge..
This month, we are exploring something that so many of us have forgotten reunion between mind and body.
How often do you find yourself living in your head, thinking, analyzing, planning, and over-explaining your experiences? And how often do you push your body, ignoring its signals, overriding exhaustion, holding tension without even realizing it?
We focus on one but forget the other. We train our minds with knowledge but neglect the wisdom of the body. We care for the body but ignore the mental and emotional weight we carry.
But true alignment comes when both are honored. The mind is the storyteller. The body is the truth-teller. And together, they create the rhythm this is your life.
The world teaches us to separate.
To train the body, but ignore the mind. To expand the mind, but neglect the body. To numb emotions that feel too heavy, to push them down or take medication,
To push through exhaustion instead of resting. And so we often live in halves - feeling untethered, ungrounded, or like something is always missing.
I have been thinking this week and what if wholeness isn’t about one or the other? What if healing happens when we remember that your mind and your body were never meant to be apart?
Because your body is more than a vessel. It is a storyteller, a messenger. And your mind is more than a machine. It is a compass, a bridge.
When you ignore your body’s whispers, it will find a way to speak louder—through fatigue, tension, anxiety, or pain. When you overwork your mind without rest, it spirals, lost in thought, unable to ground.
But when they move together? When you listen to your body, honor your mind, and bring them into rhythm? That’s when you step into your full power.
SEE YOU NEXT MONTH! OCEANS OF LOVE
